About Me:
Originally from a small town in the middle of nowhere (Rigaud, QC), I had to find ways to constantly entertain myself. My most memorable childhood experiences always go back to being outdoors. I love hiking, camping, cooking, BOARD GAMES (this cannot be stressed enough), and being surrounded by sweet people. I’m currently living in Revelstoke, so I want to write that I also love skiing (and that I can shred), but I’ve only spent a hot 5 hours cumulatively on my skis (struggling, precisely), so that would be a lie. Planting is something that’s helped me in pursuing these experiences and it’s what keeps bringing me back. It’s been one of the hardest challenges in my life, but easily the most rewarding in shaping me as a person and introducing me to some lifelong friends. |
Industry Experience:
This will be my 4th season in the industry, and first as a Crew boss! I spent the first two being a planter and eventually had the opportunity to be an Assistant Crew boss last summer. In addition to being ACB, I’ve been a primary driver for two years and was my camp’s First Aider (OFA-3) this past season.
What I expect from my planters:
Although this job is extremely demanding both mentally and physically, being surrounded by individuals who are excited and looking forward to all the ups and downs of the season can make all the difference. I want to lead a group of people who want to do the thing, all while being respectful and having fun!
What my planters can expect from me:
Basically, if you’re looking for something that will push you mentally and physically in the best way possible while making a big buck out of it, this is it. And if you want to do it while being surrounded by like-minded individuals and a Crewboss who will have your best intentions at heart, even better! If all of this aligns with you, contact me and let’s do the thing!

- Teamwork: “Many hands make light work”. The crew is a team, so it’s important to do your part in helping out and taking initiative with the crew and the camp.
- Work ethic: Being punctual, open to constructive criticism, professional and taking accountability are all important pillars to being a reliable and efficient planter to not only yourself, but everyone else.
- Attitude: Rain, shine, dirt or hail (yes you read that correctly, hail), I need you to look at the glass half-full. Tree planting will test you in some brutal ways, but I firmly believe that a fun (!!!) and energetic attitude is essential for a healthy and happy atmosphere.
- Self-care: Tree planting makes you experience very high-highs, and very low-lows. In order to “carpe diem” the most out of your days, it’s super important to set boundaries and take the time to do the little things to recharge! I.e. making sure you fill your water jugs the night before to get those extra 20 minutes of sleep in the morning.
- Effort: Your goals (whether $$$ or tree number) will differ from your coworkers’, but as long as you’re showing up every day with the intention and motivation to do the best that you can, you will crush ’em.
- Fun: Some days will be hard, and some days will be silly. Let’s have some fun with the organized chaos that is tree planting!
What my planters can expect from me:
- Safety: This job is extremely demanding and can get exhausting rapidly. Regardless, safety will always be my #1 priority, all day and everyday, whether on the block or off.
- Self-care: As mentioned above :)
- Expert problem-solver: I will always be expecting the unexpected and work day and night to provide you with full days, concrete plans and minimal downtime.
- Communication: I value this in my everyday life and even more in work environments. It’s super important to me that I’m approachable and transparent for any matters that you may have and to provide you with timely and effective feedback.
- Supportive and happy attitude: Long working days can lead to feeling worn-out super quickly, but I’m here to motivate and assist you. This includes, but is not limited to: good laughs and good tunes!
