Leadership Roles

Summit Foremen and Supervisors make up the back bone of the company and work hard to ensure a successful season for everyone. If you plant for Summit you will be expected to work hard because your Foreman and Supervisors will be working hard for you.
Types of leadership roles:
Crew Bosses:
Summit foremen are picked from a group of highly experienced and motivated veteran planters. Summit crews come in six, eleven and sixteen person sizes. Crew bosses get paid a percentage of the total money made by their crew, ensuring planters an efficiently run team.
Support Staff:
Working with the foremen on a daily basis are our support staff of checkers. Our checkers are valuable members of our team. They represent the expectations and values of their foremen, supervisors and clients to the planters. Checkers are also valuable members of our support staff because they assist with other duties such as tree delivery, camp needs, and act as supervisors' assistants after the day's work is finished on the block.
Supervisors:
Supervisors are also hard working members of the Summit team. They bring years of planting experience to the job. Supervisors have to be skilled in planting, bookkeeping and mechanics, as they keep the camps and contracts running smoothly.
The 25-person Summit management team offers a total of 196 years of Silviculture experience. That's an average of almost 8 years per person.
