At Summit, we acknowledge the challenging nature of our work and the value of our efforts to enhance the comfort of our team members both on the job and in camp. Recognizing that our work is among the most demanding, we prioritize the well-being of our personnel as a fundamental demonstration of appreciation for their contributions. Summit actively encourages planters and staff to provide feedback on all aspects of our operations, including job comforts, to facilitate ongoing improvements.
Food:
Summit recognizes the significance of food quality in a planter's evaluation of a planting company. We are committed to ongoing enhancements, including the refinement of our food service. Each year, cooks are selected based on their proven performance and expertise. Kitchens and mess tents are upgraded as necessary to ensure that cooks can devote their time and skills to providing exceptional meals. Summit accommodates diverse dietary needs by offering a separate selection of dishes tailored for vegetarians. Additionally, we collaborate with logging camps where we stay to ensure that everyone's dietary preferences are considered.
Vehicles:
Ensuring the safety and comfort of our team is paramount. Our trucks undergo daily inspections by primary drivers to guarantee the safety of all employees.
Camp:
We strive to create a comfortable camp environment by providing dry tents for gear storage and hot running water for personal hygiene (hand washing and showers). Whenever possible, we furnish some lounge furniture and a stereo in the mess tents to create a homely atmosphere. In Summit camps, cooks are responsible for washing the morning dishes, and in the evening, they hire a person (or persons) in camp to assist with washing the dinner dishes.
Outside Connection:
Staying connected with the outside world is essential. To facilitate this, each camp is equipped with modern satellite equipment, enabling internet access and phone services in camp.
