About Me:
I grew up just outside of Montreal, where I used to travel and camp in the summer with my family. These experiences gave me a real good taste for adventure and travel. After college I took a year off which quickly turned into a never going back to school type of break. I traveled and lived around the globe and got to meet incredible people along the way. In the off season you can find me either on my splitboard in the Rockies, deep underwater with scuba tanks in warm water or climbing rock wall. When I signed up for treeplanting I thought it would be for a season and no more. I was very poor, freshly back in Canada from 3 years living away and needed to get back on my feet to go off on a new adventure. I expected it to be hard, but not as hard as it turned out to be! I had thought 1 season at most and now here I am about to start my 6th summer! Tree planting lit something deep in me and I can’t resist the urge to come back every summer. The people, the hard work, pushing my limits further every season, getting out of my comfort zone and building up my bank account quickly are all reasons which bring me back. |
Industry Experience:
This is going to be my 6th season with Summit and my 1st year as a crewboss. I planted for 3 summers, cooked for 1 and checked for 1. Last summer I got the chance to work with an incredible team of crewbosses, checkers and supervisor, I learned a lot and I now am ready to tackle the challenge of crewbossing.
Expectations:
What I am expecting from you is also what you can expect from me. I will give my 110% on the block and off the block, I will support you and make sure you achieve your season’s goals. I will be honest with you and I will treat each of you with respect. My focus will be to make sure you are and feel safe at camp and on the block, have full planting days, plenty of trees, plenty of fun and a fat stack of money!
Here’s a few more qualities I’m looking for:
Motivation: I want you to set goals, whatever they are, I want you to work hard for those and I will be there to remind you and make sure you achieve them. I need you to prioritize putting the effort into reach those goals. It will get tough; some days will be hard but you must believe and you got to be able to push through and have that motivation in you.
Team player: We are a team. We support each other on good and bad days. Everyone’s opinion is valid.
Initiative: There’s a lot more to tree planting than just planting trees. As part of my crew I want you to naturally want to help, see when things need to be done. In more simple words, be on top of your game!
Communication: This is the basis of it all! We need to make sure we are on the same page at work and outside of work.
Planting is a small and tight community and these qualities are crucial to me to make sure we all have a successful season. I want to have FUN, I want to make memories, I want to make lifelong friendships and I want that for YOU too! If you come plant for me I will make sure we have an incredible season!
