Education:
B.Sc Biology
B.Sc Oceanography

My Favourite Book:
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams
Value Statements and Quotes:
Industry History:
I have been in the industry for a while. I started planting in 1992. I planted for Silvaram and stuck around with them for 4 years, ultimately running a crew there. After that, I drifted around the industry for a year - until I found Summit. I have been with Summit now since 97. I was on the stick for 4 more years, until eventually I started running a crew for Summit and slowly worked my way up to ownership. There are so many reasons I love this work.
Expectations:
I hold high expectations of both myself and of the people around me.
A general outline of my expectations can be found on our planter expectations page here.
Communicating expectations is extremely important - Expectations are about fairness. It is unfair of me to hold you to an expectation that I do not communicate. You need to know what I expect from you. You also need to know what you can expect from me. In my role as a manager it is also important that I hold everyone to the same expectations, otherwise the expectations are not fair. If that baseline of expectations is not set out and enforced, then we cannot be fair to each other.

Value Statements and Quotes:
- "Life is a game of luck and mistakes - you make less mistakes than the next guy and you are probably going to win" -- my Bantam hockey coach.
- "Don't sit and whine in the back of the crummy - it won't get anything fixed - speak up, bring a solution, and together we can make things better." - Just good advice if you want to get what you need
