At Summit Reforestation, we take pride in hosting memorable celebrations, not just for the sake of partying, but to honour the goals we have achieved and the outstanding work that we do.
Spending quality time with coworkers and finding opportunities to unwind after a day's work is essential in any workplace. It fosters stronger team bonds, enhances morale, and promotes a positive work environment. When employees take time to relax and enjoy each other's company outside of work tasks, it not only helps in relieving stress but also encourages a sense of camaraderie and mutual support. This balance of hard work and well-earned relaxation is key to maintaining high levels of productivity and overall job satisfaction.
At Summit, we recognize the importance of unwinding and building connections with coworkers through various celebrations. Our events feature dinners, engaging games, live music, entertaining talent shows, karaoke nights, and artistic performances by our talented planters and staff. These gatherings offer a much-needed break, allowing everyone to relax, blow off steam, and celebrate our collective hard work and accomplishments. By fostering a supportive and enjoyable work environment, these events contribute significantly to our overall success.
The original "5-ton" party was held in the summer of 1995 at our camp on Skunk Lake Road outside Mackenzie, BC. This event marked the end of a successful summer, bringing together all thirteen crews for a night of celebration until the early hours. Since then, we strive to hold similar celebrations each season.
