Interests:
Mat enjoys hunting and fishing, he is very committed to fitness, but his main passion is free dive spearfishing.
Education:
Mat graduate magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Commerce; Management option in 2013.

Summit and Industry History:
Mat started tree planting fourteen years ago for a small company in BC. He worked primarily on the coast for four years before coming to Summit. Mat then worked as a planter for Summit for one season and then transitioned to a foreman role for the next two. Mat was a camp supervisor for the next two seasons managing projects in both BC and Alberta. 5 years ago Mat became one of the owners of Summit and a member of the senior management team. As the operations manager Mats energy is focused on company equipment including; trucks, ATV’s, and camp equipment. He plays an integral role in training and developing the Summit managements team, and streamlining operations to facilitate a safe, productive, and fun season for everyone.
Expectations:
Mat expects everyone to come to work with a safe attitude, and an attitude to work hard. Mat also expects that each person in camp will be respectful to the everyone in the community.
