About Me:
Hi, I’m Sage! I love spending time in nature, listening to good music, and having fun with my friends. Growing up I spent most of my summers camping with my family, so after my second year of undergrad I had to find a way to pay for school while still maximizing my time outside - planting was a great fit! My first season was equally challenging and rewarding. Five years later, I live in Victoria, have finished my Master’s degree, and I keep coming back to the bush. Tree planting has brought me a strong sense of community, great friendships, and has allowed me to continue learning all these years. Its also taught me a lot about getting through tough days, building my confidence in unfamiliar environments, and what I love about working with people. While I got into tree planting so I could make money and be outside, it is something I keep coming back to because of the experiences it has brought me. Planting is great! |
Industry Experience:
The 2026 planting season will be my sixth season in the bush and my first as a Crewboss. In my last two seasons I took on more responsibility as a primary driver and Assistant Crew Boss. Having worked alongside so many great planters, crew bosses, and management I am excited to bring everything I’ve learned into this new role, leading a hardworking, caring, and all around fun crew!
What you can expect from me:
Safety- Safety is my top priority. I am committed to making sure everyone is aware of risks that come with the job, and understands safety protocols. My goal is for everyone to leave this season safe and proud of the work that we will accomplish together.
Commitment- This job can be incredibly rewarding but also very challenging, and I am fully committed to learning, holding myself accountable, and doing everything I can to make this season a success for all of us.
Support- Planting can be both mentally and physically taxing. I am committed to making sure everyone receives the support they need to be successful at this job. I will work with you to find coaching methods that help you reach your goals, and help navigating camp life - both on or off the block - I am here to support you!
Organization and Transparency - I will be on time and I will always have a plan. Communication is super important to me, and I will do my best to make sure we are all on the same page throughout the season.
What I expect from my planters:
Respect- We’ll be working and living together, and you can rely on me to treat you with respect at all times. I expect the same from anyone on my team;I do not tolerate disrespectful behaviour.
Hard Work- This job is challenging, and it takes willingness to learn, try your best, and bounce back from tough days on the block (believe me, they happen!). If you’re committed, receptive to feedback, eager to grow, and accountable to your goals, your hard work will pay off.
Positivity and Support- Planting takes resilience - show up for yourself and others with energy, kindness, reliability, and a positive attitude. Supporting each other creates a fun, supportive work environment where everyone thrives!
Friends, laughter, chill days off, and good music (along with everything I’ve mentioned above) are what I see as important for a successful and fun season! If you are interested in planting on my crew, feel free to send me an email (:
