About me:
Raised in Canmore Alberta, the mountains and outdoors have always been a part of my life. I grew up playing any and all sports but quickly realized that I much prefer outdoor, mountain orientated activities. In the off-season I am a professional ski bum, but I also enjoy climbing, canoeing and biking. I love a good binge-worthy TV show, reading and my cat Norman. I stumbled upon tree planting after the pandemic when I was tired of being stuck in my parents basement. The second I stepped foot in camp I was hooked and knew I wanted to make this my entire personality. Tree planting for me was revolutionary, it was brutally challenging, equally as rewarding, and in the melting pot that is a tree planting camp I found my most cherished relationships. The blood, sweat, tears, bugs and mud are all worth it for the lifelong memories. |
Industry Experience:
2025 will be my fifth season at Summit and my third season as a crewboss.
Values:
Safety - Cut blocks are a nasty place, my goal is to send you back home to your friends and family in one piece.
Teamwork - Tree planting would be impossible alone, it is important that we work as a team, communicate and support each other.
Perseverance - Everything around you including your body will be telling you to give up, a good planter is able to drown out the excuses and continue pushing forward.
Work Hard Play Hard - Happy planters plant more trees. Tree planting is not just about numbers, it is an amazing experience stuck in the canadian wilderness surrounded by good company, try to have fun.
