About Me:
I am Ontario born and raised, grew up on a dairy farm outside of a small town. In my youth I spent nine years as a Boy Scout, constantly hiking and camping my summers away. After moving to the city for school, I had an itch to get back out to the wild and stumbled upon tree planting through a close friend. The bush is my life and every year I can’t wait to get back out there. |
Industry Experience:
This will be my third year running a crew on top of five seasons with Summit as a planter. I had a very successful season last year, and can't wait to build on my experience and reach even higher in my seventh round in the bush. My biggest strength is in training. I have trained rookies for the past four seasons and had amazing success in cultivating incredible planters.
Planter Expectations :
● Respect: How you treat the community you work and live with, is essential in the success of a crew. Respect your body, your mind, and the others around you every day.
● Work Ethic: Everyone knows going into this job that it's going to be hard, but I promise you it's going to be harder. Be money driven, have goals every day and push yourself like you never thought possible.
● Be on Time: This one stems from my previous foremen having this as a pet peeve, well it’s mine too. A crew is a unit and one person being late puts everyone behind. BE ON TIME!
● Have Fun: It’s not all bad I swear, a culture of having a good time is super important and makes it all worth it in the end!
Expectations for myself:
● Work Hard: I will be pushing myself everyday so that you can succeed. My hope is that if you see me working harder everyday it inspires you to do the same.
● Support: I will always be looking for ways to support everyone in every aspect. I want you to grow and succeed as a planter and as a person.
● Build a Legacy: Your crew is your family, and I want to build the connections that have you coming back for more and calling your friends ten years down the road. This will be my second year running a crew on top of five seasons with Summit as a planter.
