About Me:I was raised all over British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan but I am a BC girl at heart. I am a second-generation treeplanter who appreciates that my family truly understands this industry and all the little things I have grown to love about it. While currently working towards a nursing degree, I live in Calgary, AB. When I'm not in the bush or working on my degree I can be found enjoying outdoors pursuits and traveling. My love for energetic and loud music that inspires silly dancing led me to discover a love for the flow arts and I am actively involved in the flow art community of Calgary; practicing hula hooping and poi. I am an outgoing, hard working individual who enjoys the challenges that this job presents and I strive to consistently be better.
Hobbies & Interests:
Hiking, camping, hula hooping, running, rock climbing, yoga, cooking and music.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”
“I just want to have a completely adventurous, passionate, weird life”
Punctuality – I like it!
Work hard everyday.
Set goals and exceed them.
Motivation is internal – I expect you to bring it.
Communication is a two way street - I'll do my best to do my part, I ask the same of you.
While high numbers are great, consistency is better.
Keep your head up – stay safe.
2016 will be my 8th year working in the industry, 4th year with Summit and 3nd year as a foreman. In addition to planting, I have also experienced one successful brushing season in 2012, in Northern BC.
Looking forward to the new season, I'm excited to add more talented individuals into our already stellar fam jam. I am looking for individuals that are interested in giving presence to the opportunity that tree planting presents. This seasonal work offers a lucrative and fun way to fund your own pursuits if you're willing to work hard, get your hands dirty and let your competitive side shine!
